2012 Waikato Regional Supreme Winners

In the Pukekawa district, in sight of the last reaches of the Waikato River, the Nicholsons have established a thriving commercial growing business producing onions, potatoes and barley.

Chris and Vikki Nicholson represented, said the award judges emphatically, “what’s great about New Zealand farmers”. Noted the judges: “Chris and Vikki have developed a successful business in a challenging sector while enhancing environmental values. They provide excellent role models for farmers while also being open to new ideas and information.”
