Judges were impressed by the farm’s extensive documentation, including agronomic plans, nutrient budgets, and comprehensive farm environmental plans.

This is supported by annual whole-farm soil testing and routine inspections, including pasture walks every four days and monthly agronomist-led walks to ensure proactive maintenance of soil and crop health.

Ultimately, this demonstrates a proactive approach to integrating best practice with careful consideration of all aspects of farm management.

The farm utilises specialised spreading technology that enables highly precise fertiliser application. This not only reduces waste and environmental impact but also optimises efficiency and pasture performance.

He’s actively involved in the wider community, including with the local catchment group which investigates and implements improved irrigation and soil health efficiency strategies.
